I was shopping urbanoutfitters.com and found this adorable shower curtain. Kinda artsy. Kinda hip. Kinda cool. Right?
As soon as I received it, I rushed to put it up, and I loved it! It gives my bathroom a whole new vibe. It’s a shower curtain, and my bathroom decor all in one.
So, I’m enjoying my shower curtain, then I start to notice that no matter where I am in the bathroom, the chic on the curtain is looking at me. Her eyes follow me. And the fact that I don’t have a very big bathroom, is not the point. My kinda cool shower curtain has turned kinda creepy. I tell myself that I’m being silly - it’s just a shower curtain, but unfortunately I have a very active imagination. So, what do I do? I do what any sane person would do. I start to talk to her. Turns out she is a pretty cool chic.
I got a shower curtain, bathroom decor, AND a new friend, all for only $28.00! VERY creepy cool!

Who doesn’t love before and after photos? I can’t get enough of them and could look at them all day. These are from www.oedesignbuild.com and I thought I would share. I ran across this site as I was surfing the net and was impressed with the work that this company does. I’m no where near Toronto, but I can still appreciate a wonderful renovation when I see it. Enjoy!

We all know that I like to get a good deal on things that I find, but every once in a while I treat myself to something a little more pricey. This time the thing that I really wanted, and have been eyeing for a while, was a set of Gracious Goods canisters for my kitchen. I was looking something elegant and charming to keep my favorite cookies, candies and snacks fresh, and I found the perfect set (pictured right) on Horchow.com. I also found that Gracious Goods changed their name to the GG Collection. But thankfully, the change of name didn’t change their beautiful designing. The sliver/bronze color of these canisters blends well with the modern style of my house, but still holds that ornate, classic style that the GG Collection is famous for, and the look that I couldn’t wait to add to my home.
I love my new canisters!

I bought an inflatable mattress on a whim. It was just one of those things that I thought I should have “just in case”. As I’ve mentioned before, I have a small house and I have no need for a guest room, but I wanted to be able to accommodate a guest if needed. This Aerobed (pictured above) has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It inflates and deflates in no time at all, and is so comfortable that I slept like a baby all night long (yeah, I slept on it - I was curious). It folds away nicely when not in use and comes with a carrying case if I ever wanted to take it with me anywhere. I’ve had a few friends and family members who have stayed the night and had no complaints about their “sleeping quarters” (my living room). My mom even wanted to buy one for her house - even though she has two guests rooms - she just likes how comfortable it is.
I got mine at SmartBargains.com, but they are sold all over the place. I highly recommend getting one if your home doesn’t have a lot of space. It’s an instant guest room in under a minute!

Thought I would share with you the places I like to shop or go to whenever I feel like making over a room, or just adding a fresh hit of style. Some of these places have exactly what you need, but most of all I like to go to get inspired. If you look, you can find inspiration for home decorating almost anywhere.
Try it out! Browse one or more of these places and let your imagination free. Think outside the box and don’t let rules hold you back.

Texas may not be England, but we still like our hot tea to be hot (or at least look cute). Every afternoon, as I slave away at my work desk, I enjoy a nice hot mug of Spiced Chai tea with a bit of honey and cream (because in my imagination I am an American who is Asian and British all at the same time).
As I am working hard to earn those corporate dollars, I sometimes get side tracked and my lovely tea gets cold. Luckily for me, as I was working (not at all surfing the net), I happened upon these adorable little tea cup cozies. Cute as a button, and oh, so effective. Who would have thought that a little piece of knitted yarn would keep my tasty tea toasty as I tend to important business? Certainly not I!
KnitStorm, located on Etsy.com, makes these wonderful items that fit snugly over an average mug. A mere $14 is a bargain if it means your tea stays warm and looks fabulous in the process.

While I love to decorate, I’m not rich, and the things I like are not cheap. Luckily, I can be resourceful and I have found a great site with wonderful tips, ideas and affordable items. Thriftydecorating.com is a fabulously entertaining blog about affordable decorating. You can check in often to find great little tid bits to help you turn your home into your dream home without going broke in the process. Love it! Check it out!

Check out what I found late one night while I was aimlessly surfing the net! I love the idea of a rotating book shelf.
Want to change the decor of your room? Just spin it to a new side!
Need a quick clean up? Stash the mess on one side and spin it out of sight!
Just want a cool place to keep your books and knick knacks? Sit back and admire.
Inmod.com has this great piece and one day I’ll get it … one happy day.
